Purple Pears with Medallion
Directions
Pears: Three colors (Plum Crazy, Damiana Green, & Pumkin Spice) of Radiant Pearls were stippled onto Pear with Whiska Brush. Another two colors (Sweet Apricot & Fandango Green) were stippled onto the leaves. Fantasy Fuschia was speckled onto the stamp with the Kewl Tool. Stamp was pressed onto white cardstock paper. This was embossed with fine clear embossing powder. The stamp was once again pressed to the paper slightly overlapping the embossed image. The Asian Calligraphy stamp was lightly whisked with the remaining Plum Crazy on the Whiska Stippler brush. This stamp was pressed over the two pear images. The entire piece was speckled with the Kewl Tool using Sweet Apricot, Fantasy Fuschia, Fandango Green, and Plum Crazy. This card was trimmed and layered onto smoky amethyst vellum paper. This was layered onto paper smudged with Radiant Pearls, which was layered onto deep blue vellum, which was layered onto coffee vellum, onto deep blue vellum and finally onto glossy black cardstock.
Medallion: The Sun stamp was moistened with water and a small amount of Pearl Ex was added creating a "paste" on the rubber. This was set aside. A puddle of Eggplant color Hot Melt Glue was squirted onto a working mat. This was accented with a drizzle of Red Hot Melt Glue. The Sun stamp was placed onto the hot puddle. Note that the weight of the wood mount is enough for depressing into the hot glue. After the glue cooled the stamp was removed. The working mat was held at a 45 degree angle or so as a puddle/stream of glue was squirted onto the mat allowing for running. After this "run" was cooled gold composite leaf was pressed onto the cool glue. The medallion and run were peeled off the mat and pressed onto Sticky Dots adhesive, then pressed into place on the card.
