The gown was constructed of three parts - the skirt, bodice and corslette -  from crinkled rice paper. Luna  wore the gown for several hours at the ring ceremony & reception in California then again in Michigan at a reception. It was folded and rolled into a tight bundle for shipping. Anticipating such wear combined with the many fittings; the gown was lined with fabric.

The skirt has box pleats at sides and back for fullness which is supported by a chrysanthemum bustled crinoline. The hem area is colored with shimmery greens edged with vines. The leaves on the vine are paper accented with glass beads and crystals and paper flowers.  For the reception the train of the skirt was pulled up into a Bustle.

The corslette is closely fitted with lacing up the back. A tasseled cording encircle Luna's waist and hung down the front of the gown.
